here's a summary thing.
Waverly Annabeth McIntosh has a normal life. Well as normal as her life can get when her dad is the world's richest man. Owner of Pepper, the world's largest media/electronics company, he's always spoiled Waverly rotten. He's always done all he can to prepare Waverly for life on her own-karate lessons, lunch with the president- the whole deal. But nothing can prepare Waverly when she's thrown into the world of the Shadowhunters- a world both dangerous as it is intriguing. Suddenly Waverly is thrust into a new family, expected to get along with complete strangers, and fend herself from demons. And what is with her looking identical to the fierce and beautiful Clary? And Jace-the boy that she can't take her eyes off of. Then, without warning, Waverly is kidnapped, rolled in a sack and taken into a basement where, as far as she can tell, is filled with nothing but darkness. As secrets are brought up into the open, lies unraveled and family reunited, nothing stays the same-not even identities.
